Category:Meetings
Place: Sapporo Convention Center, Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan
Presentation date: March 28th, 2018
With a support of International Activity Support Group of Scientific Research on Innovative Areas "The Birth of New Plant Species", I could attend the 59th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Plant Physiologists and gave an invited talk, Cellular Dynamics in Arabidopsis Fertilization, in the symposium, New Trends of Plant Reproduction Emerging from Cell Biological Approaches. I would like to thank the organizer Dr. Daisuke Maruyama for inviting me and the support for allowing me to trip to Japan.
I could talk with many Japanese scientists including the group members about the future direction of plant reproduction field as well as possible collaborations. After the meeting, I also visited Drs. Nobutaka Mitsuda and Miho Ikeda at AIST, Tsukuba to discuss collaborations. We hope that these collaborations will establish an exciting research field addressing new fundamental questions in plant reproduction.
